Andriy Omelchuk

Worker in the repair and construction department

He was born on February 10, 1980. Andriy worked at the airport for 13 years.

During his tenure he proved himself as a highly qualified employee who conscientiously and qualitatively performed the assigned production tasks, for which he repeatedly received awards and thanks from the company’s management, in particular «For exemplary performance of official duties during martial law throughout Ukraine».

Colleagues remember Andriy talking of him as a «kind, cheerful, sociable, reliable, patient, responsible person. He was often asked for advice, asked for help – and he never refused anyone, he was clever with his hands and had a knack for construction

In June 2023, he was called up for military service and sent to the Luhansk border detachment.

Andriy died on February 26, 2024, at the age of 44 defending Ukraine in Donetsk region.
