Dmytro Chernukha

Inspector

Dmytro was born on 19 June 1986. In February 2022 he started working at the airport.

His colleagues remember Dmytro saying: ‘He joined our team shortly before the full-scale invasion, but immediately made an impression as a calm, steady, motivated team member who was ready to perform the tasks assigned to him.’

He participated in the anti-terrorist operation and the joint forces operation in 2015-2020. Without doubts, on 24 February 2022, he once again fought to defend his homeland, joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and, as part of the 72nd Mechanized Brigade named after the Black Cossacks served in the hottest spots in eastern and southern Ukraine.

He died on 3 July 2025 at the age of 39 while defending Ukraine near the village of Horikhove in Donetsk region.
