Boryspil International Airport Forges Strategic Partnership with Hyundai Engineering & Construction and Korea Airports Corporation

Boryspil International Airport, a prominent aviation hub in Ukraine, solidified a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding on November 12, 2023. The agreement, signed by Oleksiy Dubrevskyy, CEO of Boryspil Airport, representatives from Hyundai Engineering & Construction Corporation (referred to as Hyundai E&C), and Korea Airports Corporation (referred to as KAC), marks the commencement of a pivotal collaboration between Ukraine’s largest airport and global leaders in engineering, development, and aviation infrastructure construction.

The tripartite Memorandum is a continuation and deepening of cooperation in the field of aviation infrastructure modernization with the involvement of Korean experts in implementation of high- tech experience and business investments , about which Boryspil Airport and Hyundai E&C initiated in July this year, signing a memorandum of understanding under the auspices of Oleksandr Kubrakov, the Deputy Prime-Minister – Minister of Reconstruction of Ukraine and Won Hee-Hyong , the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of South Korea.

“We continue our prosperous cooperation with Hyundai Engineering & Construction and look forward to a strong partnership with the Korea Airport Corporation in the field of airport infrastructure modernization,” stated Oleksiy Dubrevskyy, Director General of Boryspil International Airport. “Our main mission is to become a high-tech European aviation hub, enhancing the investment attractiveness of Ukraine. We express great respect and gratitude to our Korean partners for their invaluable support on this path.”

The trilateral Memorandum outlines the cooperation of all parties in analyzing the current state of Boryspil Airport and identifying opportunities for joint implementation of restoration and modernization projects. Korea Airport Corporation, specializing in airport management and operation, will provide analytical and advisory support, leveraging its extensive experience.

Hyundai Engineering & Construction commits to ensuring that the developed projects meet the highest construction and engineering standards.
