Air traffic between Latvia and Ukraine resumed
17 March 2021
Happy to announce great news – air traffic between Latvia and Ukraine resumed.
Today airBaltic’s Airbus A220-300 delivered passengers from Riga to Boryspil after a year of no flights.
With the transition to summer navigation from March 28, flights on the Kiev-Riga route will be operated 4 times a week, and then the frequency of flights will gradually increase. Passengers can follow the flight schedule on the air company’s website.
We draw your attention to the special rules for entering Latvia:
Until April 6, travel to Latvia is allowed only for valid reasons, namely: work, study, family reunion, receiving medical services, transit, accompanying a minor, returning to the place of residence, attending a funeral.
When traveling to Latvia, passengers must have a negative PCR test for COVID-19 (72 hours), as well as the QR code received after filling out an electronic questionnaire. Filling in the questionnaire is mandatory for all passengers and must be completed no earlier than 48 hours before crossing the border of the Republic of Latvia. Also, passengers must have documents confirming the purpose of entry. Passengers arriving from “unsafe” countries must be isolated for 10 days, despite having a negative test.
