Airbus A220-300 presentation to the Ukrainian aviation market

Boryspil International Airport hosted the presentation involving the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov, Boryspil International Airport Director General Oleksiy Dubrevskyy, Ukrainian airlines managers and aviation experts.

“This August, the number of flights over Ukraine amounted to 76% comparing to the result of August 2019. General European result is 41%, so Ukraine now demonstrates even more positive dynamics. Special emphasis is the growth of internal flights. Even now we see the trend of increase in domestic flights. An important propel for the development of connection inside the country is the extension of regional airports network, and in the long run, the creation of national air carrier”, reported the Minister of Infrastructure Oleksandr Kubrakov.

Boryspil Airport Director General Oleksiy Dubrevskyy underlined that the airport not only continues the active restoration but also begins it development as the international business hub.

“We are glad that September brings very positive results. In the beginning of the month, we welcomed the first flight of Eurowings to Ukraine. We launched our cooperation with one of the world-largest logistics companies FedEx. Now airport embarks on a new stage of its evolution: we are beginning to develop as a modern business hub. We have created the communication space for each and every representative of aviation market and provided the platform for the presentation of achievements of the largest world aviation market players. So this is yet another step in implementation of our strategic goal: the creation of advanced European hub, which will increase the investment attractiveness of Ukraine”, mentioned Director General.

In the presentation, Airbus representatives explained the advantages of the aircraft.

Comparing with the other models, up-to-date A220-300 offers the increased hand luggage bins space and wider aisle between the seats facilitation the passenger boarding and loading off. Depending on the interior design, the aircraft is capable of transporting 120-160 passengers. Composite materials and aluminum-lithium allegation is widely used in the construction of the aircraft. One of the main advantages of this type of aircraft is its economic efficiency nd decreased noise levels.
