Boryspil Airport was awarded by ACI EUROPE for its resilience in times of war

Boryspil International Airport has been honoured with the Award for Exceptional Resilience by the European airport community during the 35th Congress and General Assembly of Airports Council International (ACI EUROPE), which took place on 18-20 June in Athens, Greece.
This is the first award of this kind from ACI EUROPE and being a symbol of the sustainability of the entire Ukrainian airport system, it was presented to Boryspil Airport as a recognition of its key element. The award was given to Oleksiy Dubrevskyy, Boryspil Airport CEO, at a gala event with the participation of Apostolos Tzitzikostas, European Commissioner for Transport.
On the sidelines of the conference, the airport delegation held a number of meetings with its European partners, such as representatives of airports, the European Commission, associations and leading companies in the industry.Engagement of Boryspil Airport in the ACI EUROPE General Assembly was aimed at maintaining Ukraine’s involvement in the European aviation dialogue, strengthening the confidence of international partners in the Ukrainian aviation system, and creating a basis for future investments and technological partnerships.
“This award recognizes not only our resilience, but also our professionalism and strategic vision. We are not merely maintaining the infrastructure – we are preparing the ground for Ukraine’s return to the global aviation network and working every day to be ready to restart flights as soon as it becomes possible for safety reasons. And this award is a recognition of the dedication and contribution of every airport employee within the 40 months of war,” said Oleksiy Dubrevskyy.It is worth emphasising that this achievement is a joint effort that became possible due to the daily work of the airport team, cooperation with partners and support from the state, in particular: The Cabinet of Ministers, the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Economy, the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Transport and Infrastructure.
