Boryspil Airport Preliminary Results for 2018

As the year coming to a close, Boryspil Airport recalls its achievements and most memorable moments.

Throughout the year, “Boryspil-HUB” has welcomed 10 new air carriers. We have begun cooperating with Ryanair, Brussels Airlines, Iraqi Airways, MyWay Airlines, Ellinair, Air Malta, and Sky Up. In addition, we have renewed partnership with SWISS, Flydubai, Air Moldova.

The scheduled passenger growth has been achieved and on December 12th we had serviced our 12 millionth passenger. At the same time, transfer passenger traffic, for the period of 11 months, amounted to almost 30%.

In the passing year, the airport has opened in test mode an additional baggage claim and a new transfer zone in Terminal D. The long-awaited launch of the Kyiv Boryspil Express train between Kyiv and Boryspil Airport took place. Our work has been praised by international experts. Thus, in the fall, Boryspil Airport was recognized by an expert rating “Flightstats” – and was among 20 most punctual airports in Europe. During the year, the airport became one of the leaders in the ranking of the ACI Europe.

In 2019 ahead, we plan to service more than 14.3 million passengers. With the further increase in passenger traffic, reopening of Terminal F is expected in late March. Moreover, the work on the design of a new airport runway will begin.
