Boryspil Airport Prepares for the First Flight of Qatar Airways

On 28 August 2017, Boryspil International Airport commences the cooperation with the worldwide leader of passenger traffic market – QATAR AIRWAYS. The new partner of the main Ukrainian Airport will begin the regular air passenger traffic enroute Doha-Kyiv-Doha seven times per week.

The air carrier`s coming to the Ukrainian market, which has been keeping the reputation of the world`s best airline for two years, is a result of collaboration between Boryspil Airport and QATAR AIRWAYS in the development of their own markets. In particular, the opening of the new route to the Ukrainian capital is arranged within the framework of the airline West European expansion. As for Boryspil Airport management, attraction of a high profile air carrier was principal from the point of view of a quality flight network expansion to South-Western Asia. Through the new Eastern direction, Boryspil Airport passengers will acquire a comfortable flight network, which enables travelling to Australia, Thailand, the Pacific Coast of USA and Chili via the modern hub in Qatar.

Qatar Airways route to Kyiv will be operated by Airbus A320 with 12 seats in business class and 132 seats in economy class. The aircraft offers individual TV screen, providing passengers with interactive entertainment system with more than 3,000 options. “The beginning of cooperation with the airline which has been acquiring the status of the world leader for two years in a row by the expert agency SkyTrax is a unique quality sign for any airline. Boryspil Airport had serious negotiations for a long time and achieved the desired result. Strengthening and developing the partnership with the best of the best, Boryspil Airport will eventually make steps towards new achievements”, said Boryspil International Airport State Enterprise CEO Pavlo Riabikin.

Qatar Airways is the national airline of Qatar with the headquarters in the capital city Doha. The airline operates flights on 144 routes, each of them being international. It is ranked among seven air carriers with a high five-star rating according to the British SkyTrax agency. Recognized as the market leader on multiple occasions, Qatar Airways has been recently nominated as the air carrier of the year – within the framework of World Airline Awards-2017 by the international air transport rating organisation Skytrax. The air carrier was also recognized the best airline in the Middle East.
