Boryspil International Airport celebrates its 30th anniversary

For the first time in its history, Boryspil International Airport is celebrating its 30th anniversary in difficult circumstances – without passengers, airlines, partners and guests, without solemn and festive events, when it was forced to shutdown its operating processes because of a full-scale war in Ukraine.

Boryspil International Airport was founded on March 31, 1993. Over the past 30 years, a great number of ambitious infrastructure projects have been implemented at Boryspil airport, a high-level flight safety system has been put into operation, and the quality of passenger servicing meets the world standards.

The war and the closure of the airspace forced to stop operational activities of Boryspil International Airport, but the airport employees continue to maintain its accident-free and uninterrupted work and constantly take measures for technological preservation of airport infrastructure and prevention of man-made emergencies.
