Boryspil International Airport constantly supports the qualification level of employees: the results of training in the first quarter of 2024

In order to maintain an appropriate level of compliance with certification requirements,Boryspil International Airport constantly maintains the necessary level of personnel skills. According to the results of the first quarter of 2024, 736 employees of the enterprise were trained, refreshing trained and upgraded their level in the training centers of the airport, including 143 employees of third-party organizations, e.g. “Chernivtsi International Airport” named after L. Kadenyuk, National Guard LLC, UkSATSE SE, “Wind Rose” airline, Separate border control Department “Kyiv”).

Aviation security personnel were trained in the basics of aviation security, cargo and mail security, as well as the principles of behavioural characteristics detection. The ICAO Aviation Security Training Centre at Boryspil International Airport conducted 35 training courses for aviation specialists, exceeding the planned figure for the first quarter of 2024, that was estimated 23 courses.

Furthermore, theoretical and practical training and testing on CASRA computer simulators under the X-RAY TUTOR 4 training programme (developed by CASRA – Centre for Adaptive Security and Applications Research) is in progress. During January – March 2024, 545 operators of AvSec equipment and operators of special technical control of Boryspil Aviation Security Department were trained and tested. Moreover, on 21 – 29 March, 2024, for the first time the instructors of the ICAO Aviation Security Training Centre conducted theoretical and practical training on CASRA computer simulators using the X-RAY TUTOR 4 training programme for 12 employees of the Aviation Security Service of “Chernivtsy International Airport” named after L. Kadenyuk” Municipal Enterprise, who will continue training on these simulators in the future.

In addition, in March 2024, certified instructors of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) held a workshop under the auspices of ICAO on the management of risk factors in the context of aviation security at the ICAO Aviation Security Training Centre (details at https://new.kbp.aero/en/read-news/boryspil-international-airport-hosted-a-workshop-on-risk-factor-management-under-the-auspices-of-icao/  )

Boryspil International Airport has implemented an integrated management system based on the quality management system, environmental management system and flight safety management system. In order to maintain proper functioning of the integrated management system at the enterprise, the documents of the integrated management system were updated and relevant internal training was conducted for the heads of structural units and key specialists responsible for the effective functioning of the management system in structural units.

Professional training and refreshing training enables Boryspil International Airport to maintain the skills of its employees at the proper level and confirm the certificates for aviation activities issued by the State Aviation Administration of Ukraine. At present, the airport maintains 7.8 thousand personnel certificates, 21 licences, 14 certificates for aviation and related activities and 5 environmental permits.
