Boryspil International Airport honoured the memory of war dead colleagues

30 August 2024

On 29 August 2024, on the Day of Remembrance of the Defenders of Ukraine who died in the struggle for independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, the International Airport honoured the defenders of Ukraine. The company’s staff gathered in Terminal D to honour the memory of the fallen heroes, among which are Boryspil Airport employees. The heroes were honoured with a minute of silence.Today, the employees of Boryspil International Airport are also fighting for our freedom in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. However, the team has suffered irreparable losses – 13 of our employees died defending Ukraine during the war. 7 others went missing. Unfortunately, this number will continue to grow as the war continues. We honour and remember every hero.

‘Our brave warriors will always remain in our hearts. We bow our heads in gratitude to them, because it is they who give us the opportunity to work here at this time, maintaining the quality level of readiness of Boryspil International Airport at the prospect of the resumption of normal aviation activities to connect Ukraine with the whole world again,’ Oleksiy Dubrevskyy, CEO of Boryspil International Airport, addressed his colleagues. At 9:00 a.m., representatives of the Boryspil International Airport Veterans Council laid flowers at the graves of the fallen soldiers at the Knyshovo Memorial Park in Boryspil.
Peace to the fallen! Lest we forget heroes!
