Boryspil International Airport hosted meeting with Delegation of the Embassy of France: Focussing on Strategy of Infrstructure Rehabilitation and Modernisation

On 16 June 2025, a delegation of the Embassy of France in Ukraine, headed by Mr. Pierre Elbron, Special Envoy of the President of France for aid and reconstruction in Ukraine, paid a working visit to Boryspil International Airport. The visit was facilitated by The Ministry for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine.

Within the meeting, Oleksiy Dubrevskyy, CEO of the airport, presented the operational status of key infrastructure facilities and the strategic vision of the enterprise’s recovery in the post-war transformation.The French delegation was briefed on the current state of the airport, which, despite the difficult circumstances, maintains a high level of readiness for full recovery. Representatives of the French party noted the effectiveness of management decisions, preservation of critical infrastructure and competence of the airport team.

During the talks, the parties discussed possible areas of future cooperation, including the involvement of French experience and investments in modernisation projects, infrastructure development, and strengthening the technical potential of Boryspil airport as the country’s main air hub.“The visit of the French delegation is a powerful gesture of support for the Ukrainian aviation industry. For us, it is not only a demonstration of solidarity, but also an opportunity to build a real partnership based on common interests and values,” said Oleksiy Dubrevskyy, Boryspil International Airport CEO.

The French party confirmed its readiness for further dialogue and elaboration of specific formats of cooperation within the framework of future joint initiatives.“The efforts made by the teams to keep Boryspil airport in operational conditions are crucial for resuming connections between Ukraine and the world in the future. France expresses its support to the airport’s extraordinary teams, as well as its will to accompany the resumption of works as soon as the situation will allow” commented Mr. Pierre Elbron, Special Envoy of the President of France for aid and reconstruction in Ukraine.
