Boryspil International Airport and Kyiv Aviation Institute signed a Memorandum of Cooperation

On November 28, 2024, the Memorandum of Cooperation between «Kyiv Aviation Institute» State University and Boryspil International Airport was signed. This agreement aims to deepen partnership in the field of practical training and internships of university students as well as their further employment at the airport.

The signing ceremony was attended by representatives of the Kyiv Aviation Institute, including Petro Chernyshov, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the KAI, Kseniia Semenova, Acting President of the KAI, deans of the faculties and students. The delegation had an opportunity to talk to Oleksiy Dubrevskyy, Boryspil Airport CEO, to get to know the prospects of the aviation industry in Ukraine, as well as to find out hear the experience of the Institute’s graduates who successfully work at the airport.‘One of the key tasks of the Supervisory Board of the University is to ensure effective partnership with leading companies in the public and private sectors. Our cooperation with Boryspil Airport covers internships, training, and the participation of airport specialists in the educational process. All of this creates competitive advantages for our students and graduates, and helps us to better understand the needs of the industry,’ said Petro Chernyshov.

Boryspil International Airport and Kyiv Aviation Institute experienced cooperation for many years. The signed Memorandum consolidates the efforts of both parties to enhance opportunities in education for students, to improve the quality of specialists’ training, while meeting at that high-tech requirements of the airport and development of the aviation industry in Ukraine.‘We see broad prospects of the signed memorandum, namely, attracting talented youth to work at the airport, developing career guidance programs, cooperating in the implementation of environmental and innovative solutions. Together we will be able to make a significant contribution to the future of Ukrainian aviation,’ said Oleksiy Dubrevskyy, Boryspil Airport CEO.

Key areas of cooperation are: organization of internships and training for students; research and development activities involving the airport’s technical base; development of the dual form of education; participation of students and teachers in the development of environmental and energy-saving solutions for the airport; using the experience of airport specialists in the educational process.‘This cooperation will contribute to the formation of an effective link between education and the real needs of the aviation industry, improve the quality of training and strengthen Ukraine’s position in the international aviation arena,’ said Kseniia Semenova, Acting President of Kyiv Aviation University.
