Boryspil International Airport and National Aviation University discussed a new format of cooperation to create the aviation vanguard of the state

On 16 September 2024, a delegation of the National Aviation University (NAU) headed by the Chairman of the Supervisory Board Petro Chernyshov visited Boryspil International Airport. The delegation included the President of the Alumni Association Serhii Bondarenko, deans of the Faculties of Aeronautics, Electronics and Telecommunications, Aerospace Faculty, as well as other representatives of the university.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the prospects for further cooperation, in particular, practical training of students and their potential employment at the airport. During the productive dialogue, the issues of introducing dual education, organising specialised courses, internships and involving students in real work at aviation facilities were raised.Currently, 428 NAU graduates are already working at Boryspil Airport, including specialists in transportation, marketing, maintenance, radio electronics and power consumption. Many of them have achieved significant professional success and received state awards.

Petro Chernyshov, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of NAU, emphasised the importance of cooperation with the airport for the training of qualified specialists: ‘For many of our students, Boryspil Airport is a priority place for internships and further employment. We strive not only to continue our projects, but also to expand opportunities for new initiatives in the field of aviation education.’Boryspil Interational Airport CEO Oleksii Dubrevskyy expressed his interest in deepening cooperation: ‘Our cooperation with the NAU unites generations of aviators. We are interested in attracting talented young people and strive to make Boryspil Interational Airport the number 1 choice for NAU students. After the resumption of full-fledged operational activities, we will need new specialists, and we must form a personnel reserve today.’

As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to develop new internship programmes, educational events and master classes with the participation of leading airport experts. The joint initiatives will allow students to gain invaluable practical experience in international aviation business projects and become part of the future of the Ukrainian aviation industry.
