Boryspil International Airport presented the concept of resumption of air transportation from Ukraine at the economic committee of ACI Europe

On October 5-6, 2023, the 46th meeting of the Economic Committee of ACI Europe (Airports Council International) was held in Sofia, Bulgaria. This event is an effective platform for sharing experience and discussing topical issues of international air transportation: development and current challenges of the aviation market, the latest innovations in the operation of airports and airlines, requirements and investment opportunities.

At the meeting of the ACI Europe Economic Committee the management of Boryspil International Airport made a report on the current state and needs for operational support and reconstruction of Ukrainian airports, further challenges of the Ukrainian aviation market, its investment opportunities and requirements.

The current state of the infrastructure of Ukrainian airports, future potential of air transportation from Ukrainian airports and the positive impact on the country’s economic development after the war were presented in the report. Being a full member of the International Council of Airports ACI Europe, Boryspil Airport continues to constantly cooperate with the international air community and partners to implement their own vision of resuming flights.

During the meeting of the ACI Europe Economics Committee, the parties agreed on further areas of cooperation and maintaining ties with Ukrainian airports in order to quickly and effectively resume civil aviation operation in Ukraine. Given that airports are powerful drivers of economic growth, providing a critical social and economic impact, the international air community is interested in further development of cooperation to open Ukrainian airports as soon as the security situation allows.
