Boryspil International Airport received UAH 189 million in net profit

For 9 months of 2021, the net profit of the Airport amounted to UAH 189 million. This is UAH 422 million more than the Company’s targets and UAH 1.04 billion more than the respective period of the last year. Thus, in the 3d quarter of 2021 the Airport fully covered the losses of the first half of the year totaling UAH 73 million.

Oleksiy Dubrevskyy, Director General of Boryspil International Airport, commented:

“We have been able to increase efficiency, optimize costs and implement advanced technological tools and best business practices to make an accurate forecast with all risks in mind and prepare for future changes. The financial results confirm that the management decisions were correct and allowed to optimize costs, increase passenger traffic and bring the service to a new level. These particular measures of influence made it possible to increase the Airport’s net profit. Today, we are recording the result: the Airport is not only showing profitability, but also fulfilling its obligations to the State. According to the results of 9 months of 2021, the accrual of part of the net profit to the state budget is UAH 151 million – 80% of the net profit,” – said Oleksiy Dubrevskyy.

It should be recalled that in the first nine months of 2021, Boryspil International Airport served 6,976,939 passengers, including 4,093,166 regular flights passengers and 2,883,773 – non-scheduled flights passengers. Compared to the same period in 2020, the total number of passengers increased by 72%.
