Boryspil International Airport has successfully passed the inspection of the State Aviation Administration of Ukraine

Boryspil International Airport has successfully passed the unscheduled inspection of the State Aviation Administration of Ukraine, which was aimed at verifying the compliance of the airfield with the certification requirements and was conducted due to the completion of the 4-year supervision period.
The Commission scrutinized the submitted documentation and surveyed in person the airfield and its infrastructure. Lesia Hryhorieva, Head of the unscheduled inspection, Deputy Head of the Department, State Aviation Safety Inspector of the Airfield Certification Department of the State Aviation Administration of Ukraine, said:
‘The maximum preservation of Boryspil Airport, the country’s critical infrastructure facility, and its certification suitability is the main challenge for its employees during the war. The inspection confirmed that the current state of the airfield meets the requirements of Ukrainian civil aviation legislation and international standards. During the inspection, the commission also witnessed the airport’s responsible specialists constantly and properly maintain the infrastructure and undergo training.’

Maintaining the airfield certification during the war in the country is a complex and responsible process. The airport specialists take all the necessary measures to maintain the airfield and its equipment in accordance with modern safety standards for safe and high-quality use after the resumption of flights, if it is allowed for security reasons.
