Boryspil International Airport Summarized the Results of Employees’ Training in the First Quarter of 2025

Training Centres at Boryspil International Airport conducted initial, refresh and upskilling training for 651 specialists of the Ukrainian aviation industry in the first quarter of 2025, including 583 employees of Boryspil International Airport and 68 employees of third-party organisations (i.e Antonov JSC, Ukraine State Enterprise, Lviv Danylo Halytskyi International Airport, State Enterprise, Chernivtsi International Airport named after L. Kadenyuk,  Municipal Enterprise, Kyiv Zhuliany International Airport, Municipal Enterprise, Wind Rose airline,  Skyline express airline, etc.

In particular, in the first quarter of 2025, the training centre for ground handling personnel conducted training courses as follows: ‘Security in the restricted area’, ‘Baggage handling in the sorting area and baggage claim area’, ‘Cargo and mail handling’, ‘Rules for the carriage of dangerous goods by air’, ‘Vehicle  driving for ground transportation of crews, passengers, baggage, cargo and mail’, ‘Loading/unloading of aircraft’. Upon successfully passing out of the training courses, all participants were awarded certificates under the established standard.

Likewise, the ICAO Aviation Security Training Centre at Boryspil International Airport conducted 32 training courses, which exceeded the planned figure for the first three months of 2025, which scheduled 23 courses, including “Aviation Security Management’, ‘Training for screeners (cargo and mail), ‘Course for the Personnel Performing Patrolling and Providing Access Control’, ‘AVSEC Screening Passengers and Baggage, etc.

Furthermore, theoretical and practical training and testing on CASRA computer simulators using the X-RAY TUTOR 5 training programme (developed by CASRA – Centre for Adaptive Safety and Applications Research) was also in progress. In the first quarter of 2025, theoretical and practical training and testing were conducted for 550 operators of technical control devices and operators of special technical control devices of Boryspil Aviation Security Department.

The training programmes are designed to facilitate the adaptation of the airport employees to the new challenges of the industry and to ensure efficient flight operations after the war.
