Boryspil International Airport took part in the Career Day  at  the National Aviation University

On 19 October 2024, Boryspil International Airport joined the large-scale Career Day event of the National Aviation University (NAU) aimed at introducing high school and higher technical students to professions in the field of airport activities.

In the peaceful future, Ukraine’s main air gateway will be in great demand for qualified aviation specialists, so representatives of Boryspil Airport are already actively involved in career guidance work with young people on behalf of  a potential employer for today’s aviation students.

‘It is essential now to find talented young specialists who can become part of our large team and develop the civil aviation industry of Ukraine together with us in the future,’ said Oleksii Dubrevskyi, Boryspil Airport CEO.The Boryspil Airport location at the NAU Career Day was one of the most popular among the event participants. Highly qualified specialists – representatives of the Commercial Directorate Dmytro Tysyachnyi and Yevhen Bielik, Head of the Airport Complex Andriy Tarasenko, Chief Technologist Olha Fedyna, Head of Scheduling and Control Department Andriy Prud, Expert Technologist Ihor Konstantynov, Manager of the ICAO Aviation Security Training Centre Dmytro Oksamyt – presented the airport’s activities to the participants of the event and told about career opportunities, in particular for students of technical specialities. Moreover, the visitors could talk in-person and ask questions to the airport specialists.In the demo area, Boryspil Airport specialists gave the young participants the opportunity to park an aircraft as ground handling specialists using VR glasses, as well as to see the process of detecting prohibited items with a modern training computer programme developed by the international company CASRA (Centre for Adaptive Security and Applications Research): https://kbp.aero/news/fahivtsi-z-aviatsijnoyi-bezpeky-mizhnarodnogo-aeroportu-boryspil-prohodyat-navchannya-na-innovatsijnyh-komp-yuternyh-trenazherah-casra/ ), which is used at the ICAO Aviation Security Training Centre at Boryspil Airport to improve the skills of aviation security specialists.The NAU Career Day has become an sound platform for an open dialogue between youth who are just choosing their professional path and representatives of companies that set the standards in the aviation industry. The event was also joined by such companies as: Boeing Ukraine, Airlogix, SkyUp Airlines, AVIA VENTURES by Baykar, Progresstech-Ukraine, ANTONOV, Supernova Airlines and others. The event was a great opportunity for young people to learn more about the prospects of working at the airport and discuss internship and employment opportunities.
