Boryspil International Airport and Vienna Airport signed a Memorandum of Cooperation

Vienna, 22 October 2025 – Boryspil International Airport and Flughafen Wien AG, the operator of Vienna Airport, have officially signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in which the strategic priorities of the long-term partnership between the two leading airports of Central and Eastern Europe were established.

The document provides for sharing of experience and the development of joint projects in key areas, including:
- development of passenger and cargo transportation
- implementation of European standards
- optimisation of operations
- development of terminal and ground infrastructure
- development of non-aviation services
- development of joint strategies, concepts and long-term development programmes
- Initiating joint R&D, innovation initiatives and pilot projects
“This Memorandum is a strategically important step that turns our intentions into a practical tool for preparing the recovery of Ukraine’s aviation industry after the war. Cooperation with such a reputable partner as Vienna Airport is a key to the rapid implementation of advanced European standards. We are not just sharing our experience, we are enhancing our operational readiness for the moment when Ukraine’s airspace reopens for resumption of civilian flights,” commented Oleksiy Dubrevskyy, Boryspil Airport CEO.

The visit of Boryspil International Airport delegation to Vienna lasted from 20 to 24 October 2025 and included workshops on Route Development, Slot Coordination and Capacity Management, technical tours and official meetings with the management of Vienna Airport.
