On December 9th, at 18:08, an aviation incident had occurred on the runway at Boryspil Airport

“During taxing, Belavia aircraft had damaged the runway lights. Temporarily, we had secured the flight strip in order to clear it out. The plane reached the parking area independently. Throughout the day, Airport’s operation was further complicated by weather conditions (fog). The Airport operated in low-visibility mode. As a result, last night, in accordance with airlines’ decisions, eleven flights were redirected to other airports,” said Pavlo Riabikin, Chief Executive Officer of Boryspil International Airport State Enterprise.

Currently, the Airport is operating regularly, details are being investigated by the accident investigation commission.
