ICAO Aviation Security Training Center of Boryspil International Airport passed successfully the certification inspection

In June 2024, the ICAO Aviation Security Training Center of Boryspil International Airport passed successfully the certification inspection conducted by the State Aviation Administration of Ukraine, and was certified as an Aviation Security training center for the next two years.
The inspection confirmed the compliance of the ICAO Aviation Security Training Center at Boryspil Airport with the requirements of national and international standards, when assessing organization of the training process, methodological documents, technical support, requirements for the management, instructor and teaching staff, as well as internal control.During the inspection, it was found that the ICAO AVSEC Training Center at Boryspil Airport uses the necessary technical support and modern technologies for training operators of screening equipment, e.g. the computer program X-Ray Tutor 4 (XRT4) developed in the Center for Adaptive Security Research and Applications (CASRA).
During the certification, a new training program for training for operators of technical means of AVSEC control was developed. Also, three new training programs for training personnel in aviation security were approved. Moreover, the level of students’ level of knowledge was assessed under the results of the current and final examinations and written exams, where the average score is 98% of correct answers.
The ICAO Aviation Security Training Center of Boryspil International Airport trained about 4000 specialists under various courses for compliance of aviation security with international and national aviation security standards, from the beginning of 2022 to the first half of 2024 inclusive.
