Large scale emergency-rescue services trainings at Boryspil Interntional Airport

170 people and 35 vehicles took part in the training, as the Airport Media Relations Office informs.
“One of the top proprieties of Boryspil International Airport is the safety of the passengers. Such trainings are extremely useful as they allow to work over the joint actions of experts during the emergency events that may happen at the Airport. An important task during such trainings is to polish the interaction between different internal departments of the Airport and their energy with the colleagues from other agencies”, mentioned Boryspil International Airport Director General Oleksiy Dubrevskyy.
As explained the Head of the Airfield Rescue Fire Fighting Service at Boryspil IA SE Vasyl Dremliuha, in the course of training, the emergency-recue services worked on the main scenarios of emergency events.
“In particular, those are the air-search for the aircraft that landed outside the aerodrome territory, as well as the emergency landing of the aircraft on foam covered runway. In addition, the extinguishing of fuel spillage, evacuation and rescue of crew and passengers from the smoked aircraft, emergency-rescue works in the collapsed building, deployment of injured rallying points, provision of medical assistance, noted Head of ARFF.

The training involved the personnel of the Airport, State Emergency Service units, Kyiv Regional Center of Emergency Medical Aid and Disaster Medicine, National Police at Boryspil Airport of Boryspil Police Department in Kyiv region, Air Forces of Ukrainian Armed Forces, Separate Immigration Control Checkpoint “Kyiv” of the State Immigration Service of Ukraine, Kyiv regional organization of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine.
The training engaged the modern special equipment, unique to Ukraine special fire fighting vehicles Panther, Ambulance vehicles and other special vehicle.
The means of aviation were also used: transport aircraft An-26 and UAF helicopter Mi-8.
