At least 470 employees of Boryspil International Airport will complete Aviation Security Refresh Course

In June 2022, Boryspil International Airport resumed the work of the ICAO Aviation Security Training Center both in online and offline mode.

Since the beginning of the war and switching the enterprise to standby mode, 290 airport employees have passed the refresh course. In particular 10 courses were held in June, 118 employees were trained, in July offered 8 courses for 172 employees. In August we plan 7 courses for 180 employees and in September we expect 8 courses.

Refresh Course is a State Aviation Administration (CAA) defined process, which stipulates the relevant categories of employees to retrain each 2-3 years according to their qualifications. This is both a national and international requirement. It shall be adhered to avoid the expiration of aviation security certificates for airport employees.

Refresh course is provided pursuant to the CAA Training Programs, which may include both theoretical and practical exercises, depending on the program. Course duration is 1-7 days.

Refresh course is mandatory for all the personnel that ensures aviation security, as per the qualification, and all Boryspil International Airport employees, in accordance with the Program for Aviation Security Personnel Training approved by the Order of the Ministry of Transport and Communication of Ukraine No.508 dated 18 June 2007.
