A record high income of more than UAH 4 billion for “Boryspil” Airport in 2017

“Boryspil” Airport’s revenue for 2017 was UAH 4 097 million. This indicator was a record for the airport. Additionally, in 2017 profit before tax amounted to UAH 2,114 million, which also became a record. Reported by the CFTS, with a reference to the information provided by the airport.
For comparison, the indicators of previous years are given. In 2016 the revenue amounted to UAH 3 617 million, for 2015 – UAH 3 081 million and 2014 was closed out with a loss of revenue in the amount of UAH 138 million.

The dynamics of income, expenditure and profits (UAH million)

The CFTS had also informed that in 2017 the airport’s expenses amounted to UAH 1,983 million. A year earlier, this figure was UAH 1 920 million, and in 2015 – UAH 2 222 million.

Last year, for the first time, the largest part of expenditure went to wages and social benefits for employees. In 2017, the average wage in “Boryspil” was UAH 12,240, whereas a year earlier it was UAH 9,080.

In the previous year, the airport allocated UAH 457 million for the development of infrastructure, of which UAH 245 million went to capital construction and 154 million to acquisition of fixed assets.

The outcome development of infrastructure

In addition, “Boryspil” in 2017 paid UAH 1,907 million in favor of the state. This included UAH 1 251 million in dividends, UAH 281 million of income tax, UAH 247 million of personal income tax and social insurance, UAH 128 million of other payments. In 2016, the total amount of payments in favor of the state was UAH 1,560 million, of which UAH 804 million were dividends.

Earlier, CFTS wrote that in 2017 “Boryspil” Airport serviced 10 554 757 passengers, which is on 22.1% more than in 2016. Passenger traffic has increased by 43.2% since 2015. Thanks to this dynamic, “Boryspil” was recognized as one of the fastest growing airports in Europe within the category 5 to 10 million passengers.
