Regional director of Hyundai Engineering & Construction paid a business visit to Boryspil International Airport

On February 12, 2024, a business meeting was held at Boryspil International Airport between Mr. Oleksiy Dubrevskyy, CEO of the airport, and Mr. Hyung Hwan Park, the Regional Director of Hyundai Engineering & Construction.

The purpose of the meeting was joint continuing discussion of the possibilities of implementing airport modernization projects involving technology and modern experience of Hyundai Engineering & Construction in the reconstruction of the Korean Incheon Airport, Singapore Changi Airport and Chinchero Airport in Peru.

“Boryspil Airport, as the main airport of Ukraine, is ready to assist both Hyundai E&C and other companies in an efficient study of the investment attractiveness of airport infrastructure reconstruction and modernization projects. The aviation industry is a key industry for successful investments of world business, which is looking for opportunities to invest in the reconstruction of Ukraine, “said Oleksiy Dubrevsky, CEO of Boryspil International Airport.

During the visit Mr. Hyung Hwan Park, HE&C Regional Director, got acquainted with the current state of Boryspil Airport and highly appreciated the efforts of employees to save the airport infrastructure during the war in Ukraine.

“Hyundai E&C, as one of the leading construction companies in the world, is well-known for its large-scale investment projects for reconstruction and development of international airports, “- Mr. Hyung Hwan Park, HE&C Regional Director, said during the visit. “We have considerable experience in the reconstruction of infrastructure of well-known international airports implementing at that smart control systems for flight safety, therefore, we are considering with great interest the possibility of cooperation with Boryspil Airport in the context of its upgrading. “

We remind you, that on July 14, 2023, in Warsaw, Oleksiy Dubrevskyy, Director General of Boryspil International Airport and Yun Yong Zhong, President and CEO of Hyundai Engineering & Construction, the global Korean construction company (Hyundai E&C), and Kim Keong-Soo, Chief Operating Officer, in the presence of Won Hee Ryong, Minister of Lands, Infrastructure and Transport of South Korea, signed the Memorandum of Understanding. The document provides for partnership and cooperation between the two parties in order to restore and develop the aviation infrastructure of Ukraine.
