Results of training for 9 months of 2024: 2 thousand aviation industry specialists have upgraded their qualifications at Boryspil International Airport

In 9 months of 2024, Boryspil International Airport conducted vocational education, training and refresh training of 1935 aviation specialists, including 1681 airport employees and 254 employees of other organisations (i.e. Chernivtsi International Airport named after L. Kadeniuk, UkSATSE, Wind Rose Airlines, Ivano-Frankivsk International Airport Branch of Skorzonera LLC, State Air Enterprise «Ukraine», Main Aviation Coordination Centre for Search and Rescue of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, Antonov JSC, Skyline Express Airlines, etc.).

In particular, during 9 months, the ICAO Aviation Security Training Centre at Boryspil International Airport conducted 104 training courses (67 courses were scheduled in the annual Training Plan). In the 3rd quarter alone, 364 employees of Boryspil International Airport SE and 28 employees of other organisations (UkSATSE, ‘Air Enterprise «Ukraine» ’, ‘Amik Ukraine’ FDI , ‘Skyline Express Airlines’ LLC) were trained at the AVSEC Training Centre.  Specialists were trained under the following training programmes: ‘Initial training on the basics of aviation security’, “AVSEC Screening Passengers and Baggage”, “Training for screeners (cargo and mail) ”, “ Course for the Personnel Performing Patrolling and Providing Access Control” and others. All training courses were conducted offline. Education, training, and refreshing training under the training programmes were conducted by certified instructors of the ICAO Aviation Security Training Centre at Boryspil International Airport.In addition, the ICAO Aviation Security Training Centre continues to conduct training on CASRA computer simulators using the X-RAY TUTOR 4 training programme. In the 3rd quarter of 2024, 550 employees of the airport AVSEC Department were trained on CASRA computer simulators.

Also, since the beginning of the year, 679 airport employees have been trained in 6 areas at Boryspil Airport Training Centre, including Rules for the transportation of dangerous goods by air, flight safety management system, environmental management, aircraft maintenance and others.

It is worth noting that in September 2024, Boryspil International Airport specialists have passed  an intensive training course from Microsoft focused on the use the functionality of Microsoft software products.  The workshops for the airport employees were conducted by Span, which is the airport’s partner in providing Microsoft Office software products. Boryspil International Airport continues to provide ongoing training, refreshing training and professional development of its employees, as this is one of the key areas of the airport’s activities to retain highly qualified personnel in the Ukrainian aviation industry.
