Results on the training of aviation industry specialists for 6 months of 2023 in the training centers of Boryspil International Airport

In the first half of 2023, Boryspil International Airport conducted professional training, coaching and refreshing training of 1,481 aviation industry specialists, including 1,353 airport employees and 128 employees of third-party organizations (ANTONOV SE, ODH SE, UAMC SE, Ukraina SE, Aerohandling LLC , Wind Rose Airline LLC , others).

During the 1st half of 2023, the ICAO Aviation Security Training Center of Boryspil International Airport conducted 69 training courses for 11 training programs, of which 5 programs were developed by the certified instructor staff of the ICAO AVSEC Training Center in Boryspil: ‘AVSEC Basic Training Identifying Behavioral Characteristics’, ‘Course for the Personnel Performing Patrolling and Providing Access Control’, ‘Aviation Security Management’, ‘Refresher Course for the Personnel Performing Patrolling and Guarding of Civil Aviation Facilities ‘, ‘AVSEC Supervisors’ Training’ and others.

In particular, 43 courses were conducted in 13 training programs in the ICAO AVSEC training center in Boryspil airport for personnel who manage vehicles on the aerodrome movement area, or provide passenger handling and baggage control on aviation security, or execute aircraft de-anti-icing procedure.

The retention policy for qualified personnel and prolongation of existing certificates is crucial for Boryspil Airport, as it is a guarantee of a quick resumption of work as soon as it becomes possible and safe.

The airport activities are strictly regulated by Ukrainian and international regulatory bodies, i.g. the State Aviation Administration, ICAO, IATA, EASA, ISO. As of July 2023, Boryspil International Airport maintains valid 6.5 thousand personnel certificates, 21 licenses, 14 certificates for types of aviation and related activities, 5 environmental permits and 30 permits for various types of high risk activities (OH&S labor precautions), which were obtained in strict accordance with the adopted procedures and international standards.
