United States Embassy Delegation Visits Boryspil International Airport

25 March 2026

On March 20, 2026, a delegation from the Embassy of the United States of America in Ukraine, led by Ambassador Julie Davis, the US Chargé d’Affaires a.i. to Ukraine, paid a working visit to Boryspil International Airport.

During the visit, Embassy representatives were briefed on the current state of the airport’s infrastructure, as well as measures aimed at preserving it in the face of a full-scale war, maintaining the qualifications and professionalism of the airport team, and the operational readiness of the enterprise.

Particular attention was paid to ensuring the resilience,  continuity of the airport’s operations and preparing for the future resumption of Ukraine’s aviation sector, as soon as the security situation allows.

Airport management emphasized that the key priority remains the preservation of infrastructure, critical systems, and human capital, which will enable the safe and efficient resumption of operations once the relevant decisions are taken at the national level.

“Even under wartime conditions, our priority remains to preserve the airport’s infrastructure, team, and operational readiness. We are consistently preparing for the moment when Ukraine reopens its airspace, and Boryspil will be ready to fulfil its role as the country’s primary international aviation hub,” said Oleksiy Dubrevskyy, CEO of Boryspil International Airport.

Both sides highlighted the importance of further developing international cooperation and partner support in preparing for the recovery of Ukraine’s aviation sector. Boryspil International Airport sees its role as Ukraine’s key international aviation hub, which will play a central role in restoring passenger and cargo traffic, as well as reconnecting Ukraine with the global economy and humanitarian networks.

Boryspil International Airport highly appreciates the support of partners and expresses its gratitude to the United States of America for the consistent and constructive dialogue.
