Visit of Polish Delegation to Boryspil International Airport: Strengthening cooperation for Ukraine’s future return to the global aviation map

On June 13, 2025, Boryspil International Airport welcomed a high-level delegation from the Republic of Poland. As part of the working visit, the airport hosted Robert Ludera, Vice President for Network and Alliances Development at LOT Polish Airlines, and Magdalena Jaworska-Maćkowiak, CEO of the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency (PANSA).The purpose of the visit was to assess the current state of Boryspil International Airport and to inspect its key infrastructure facilities. Special attention was devoted to discussing potential scenarios for the resumption of flights after the end of the war, strategic visions for restoring air connectivity, and critical factors that will influence this process.
The airport’s CEO Oleksiy Dubrevskyy, together with his team, presented an overview of the airport’s current state, its human resources potential, and the systematic efforts to maintain operational readiness of the enterprise during the war.“Boryspil International Airport remains a key hub for the future recovery of air transportation in Ukraine and will play a strategic role in resumption of air traffic in our country. Despite the suspension of operations, the airport continues to function, and cooperation with our partners — airlines that seek to return to Ukrainian skies after the end of the war — is an essential part of our ongoing work. The visit by LOT Polish Airlines is another important step forward, confirming that our international partners are awaiting Ukraine’s return to the global aviation map,” said Oleksiy Dubrevskyy, CEO of Boryspil International Airport.
During the visit, the Polish delegation expressed high appreciation for the level of preservation and readiness of the airport infrastructure, and also noted the professionalism and resilience of the Boryspil airport team. LOT Polish Airlines reaffirmed its interest and readiness to resume flights to Ukraine as soon as the security situation allows, emphasizing the strategic importance of Boryspil International Airport as a key partner in this process.
